Remi Garde admits Ashley Cole interest
Aston Villa boss Remi Garde has admitted that the club are interested in a winter deal for former Arsenal and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole.
The 34-year-old has been recently linked with a move back to the Premier League having failed to make a single league appearance for Roma this term.
While speaking on possible targets for the New Year, Garde revealed that the club are considering a move for Cole.
"We know what we want to do. I feel we will need to improve the team to get more chances (of staying up)," he said in a press conference.
"Experience is something we need. Ashley is someone who has experience but he didn't play for a while now. Every good player is interesting for me and he is a good player."
Villa are currently rockbottom of the Premier League, seven points adrift of safety.
