Arsenal plan Victor Wanyama bid

Arsenal are set to launch a winter move for Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama following their recent injury crisis.

The Kenyan international has impressed for the Saints since his switch from Scottish side Celtic in 2013.

The Gunners are currently without the likes of Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla and Mikel Arteta through injuries, and this leaves them with Mathieu Flamini as the only reliable option for the holding role.

Widespread sources reveal that the FA Cup holders will seek to land the services of Wanyama in a bid to maintain their hopes of landing the Premier League title after an 11-year wait.
