Remy linked with Ligue 1 return

Saint-Etienne manager Christophe Galtier has admitted that he is keen on securing a temporary move for out-of-favour Chelsea striker Loic Remy.

The France international has had limited game-time under former boss Jose Mourinho this season.

Galtier has now confirmed that the club are eager to land the 28-year-old on a short-term deal, provided they are able to agree a suitable financial package.

"Loic Remy has a very interesting profile. He's part of a very big club where he's not playing much," he told reporters.

"We'll see if Chelsea will loan him to us but they would have to take care of part of his salary. I'm not sure if it's possible, but Loic is indeed on the list."

Remy joined managerless Chelsea from Queens Park Ranger last season.
