Chelsea submit fresh Stones bid
Chelsea have reportedly made a £45m bid for Everton defender John Stones.
The England international had been the subject of multiple bids from the Blues over the summer, but the Toffees were firm in their bid to keep hold of their star asset.
Stones has kept up his form for the Toffees since then, and this led to suggestions that the Premier League holders may renew their pursuit in the New Year.
According to Spanish source Fichajes, the West London giants have submitted a fresh offer of around £45m to sign their long-term target.
However, the Toffees look unlikely to do any business with manager Roberto Martinez not keen on offloading his player midway through the league campaign.
The 21-year-old joined the Toffees from Barnsley for just £3m in 2013.
