Liverpool agree Joel Matip deal

Liverpool have reportedly finalized a pre-contract to sign Schalke 04 defender Joel Matip.

The Cameroon international has been tipped to seek a fresh challenge away from Germany having spent sixteen years with the Gelsenkirchen outfit.

According to The Mirror, the 24-year-old will link up with the Reds once his contract expires at the end of current campaign.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp had recently completed a loan move for Steven Caulker in a bid to solve the recent injury crisis.
