Liverpool consider Shane Long move

Liverpool are reportedly considering the prospect of lodging a winter bid for Southampton striker Shane Long.

The Republic of Ireland international has been in good form for the Saints in recent weeks, and this is said to have caught the eye of Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.

According to The Sun, the Merseyside giants will continue their Saints raid by making an £8m bid for 28-year-old Long.

The Reds are also believed to be scouting Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams, who is said to be keen on a Premier League challenge.

Jurgen Klopp's side host Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
