Chelsea to confirm Alexandre Pato arrival

Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato is close to sealing a winter move to Chelsea, according to reports.

The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge during the ongoing transfer window.

Recent speculation had claimed that Blues could stall on a transfer for the Brazil international with manager Guus Hiddink not convinced with the player's ability.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the Premier League holders have finalized a deal, and the player will link up on an initial loan deal this month.

Chelsea will have the option of signing Pato on a permanent basis in the summer.
