Chelsea confirm Pato signing

Chelsea have announced the signing of Corinthians forward Alexandre Pato on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 26-year-old Brazilian was said to have travelled to the English capital to finalize his proposed move earlier this week.

"I am so happy to sign for Chelsea. It is a dream for me. I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know my new teammates and cannot wait to play," Pato told the club's official website following his transfer.

Pato joins the Premier League holders following an impressive year at Sao Paolo where he netted 26 goals.
