According to Italian source Calciomercato, Blues owner Roman Abramovich has been in negotiations with the Italian regarding the vacancy.
It is added that Allegri has been presented with a pre-contract to link up with the Stamford Bridge side.
Chelsea are said to have offered a four-year deal to the 48-year-old.
