Alex Teixeira signs for Jiangsu Suning

Liverpool and Chelsea target Alex Teixeira has finalized a move to the Chinese Super League with Jiangsu Suning.

The Brazilian had been tipped to make a move to Anfield last month, before the Reds were put off by Shakhtar Donetsk's £36m asking price.

It has now come us a big blow for Teixeira's suitors after he agreed to make a move to the Far East with Jiangsu.

"Shakhtar Donetsk and Jiangsu Suning FC have agreed on all the necessary formalities for the transfer of Alex Teixeira to the Chinese club. Transfer fee for the Brazilian midfielder is 50 million euros. " a statement read on Shakhtar's official website.

Teixeira will link up with fellow Brazilian midfielder Ramires, who recently left Chelsea for the Chinese outfit.
