Real Madrid join Renato chase

Real Madrid have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign highly-rated Benfica youngster Renato Sanches.

The 18-year-old has been in top form for the Primeira Liga giants this season, and this has caught the eye of several European clubs.

According to Portuguese source A Bola, Renato could be the subject of a bidding battle in the summer, with the Real Madrid, Manchester United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all said to be interested in his services.

Sanches is regarded as the next big thing to come out of Portuguese football.

The young midfielder has made 14 league appearances for Benfica this term.
