Higuain rejects Napoli deal

Reported Chelsea and Arsenal target Gonzalo Higuain has turned down a contract extension at Napoli.

The Argentina international has been a consistent performer for the Naples outfit, who are challenging for the Serie A title this term.

Spanish source Fichajes understands that the former Real Madrid star is assessing his options after he turned down fresh terms at his present employers.

The reports adds that the 28-year-old had rebuffed the deal following chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis' claims that he had put on weight over the past month.

Higuain has netted 24 goals in the Serie A this campaign.
