Everton plan Slimani bid
Everton are ready to lodge a £23m bid for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Algerian international has been in the form of life this season, and this is said to have caught the eye of top European clubs.
Portuguese daily O Jogo claims that the Toffees will step up their interest for the hard-working marksman after Spurs made a tentative enquiry over the player's availability.
It is also known that Roberto Martinez's side are willing to pay a fee of around £23m to sign the player ahead of their league rivals this summer.
Slimani has scored 22 goals in all competitions for Sporting this term.
