Man Utd explore Marquinhos deal
Manchester United could offer stiff competition to Chelsea in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos this summer.
The Brazil international has struggled for sufficient playing time in the French capital, and this has led to claims that he may seek pastures new next season.
Premier League holders Chelsea are known to have earmarked the central defender as a potential addition to their squad as they plan to restructure their backline after the departure of veteran star John Terry in the summer.
However, according to French media outlet Le 10 Sport, United could join the player's pursuit given their lack of discipline in the defence front this season.
It is added that the Mancunian giants are confident that the young defender could provide the ideal boost as they seek to challenge for the league title next term.
Marquinhos, who joined Les Parisiens from AS Roma in 2013, has apparently not ruled out a future move to the Premier League.
