Man Utd to miss out on Mattia Perin

Manchester United are unlikely to get in a deal for Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin after the player revealed his desire to remain in the Serie A.

The 23-year-old had been recently linked with a move to Old Trafford following speculation regarding the future of United favourite David de Gea.

However, Perin's representative has dismissed the possibility of a Premier League move with his client keen on proving his credentials in the Italian league.

He also added that one-time Italy international would favour a move to Roma, a club which is a regular in the Champions League.

Perin is hopeful that his performances with Genoa earn him a call-up with Azzurri for this summer's European championships.
