Mario Gomez wins award

Mario Gomez Garcia has won the German Player of the Year award. The young German striker has been hailed as the future of German football, and scored 14 goals in the Bundesliga last year as VfB won the title.

The 22 year old already has 3 goals in 3 caps for the international side and could be a regular fixture for the side in the next few seasons.
