Liverpool scout Javier Pastore

Liverpool are reported to have kept a close eye on in-demand Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore. The Argentine is said to be eyeing a fresh move following his struggles to firm a starting role under Laurent Blanc.

The 26-year-old has caught the eye of the likes of Juventus and Barcelona in recent weeks, but according to France Football, chief Reds scout Kevin Hunt was in attendance to watch the player perform in his side's 4-0 win over Rennes on Friday night.

Jurgen Klopp's side are eager to bring in a new midfielder this summer as they seek to bolster their chances of challenging for the league title next term.

Pastore, who signed for Les Parisiens from Palermo in 2011, is contracted to the French champions until 2019.
