Chelsea in advanced talks for Higuain

Chelsea have reportedly stepped up their efforts to sign Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain this summer. The Argentine's arrival is likely to coincide with the departure of Diego Costa from Stamford Bridge.

Higuain, 28, has been long linked with a move to the Premier League with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United being his main admirers.

Spanish source AS says the Blues will look to secure a £38m transfer for the Argentine as soon as they manage to offload Costa to former club Atletico Madrid.

Costa is said to be desperate for a return to Spain after Atleti signalled their desire to reacquire his services.

Higuain has had an outstanding season at Naples netting 37 goals in all competitions.
