Sadio Mane on Liverpool radar
Liverpool have turned their focus to Southampton's Sadio Mane after German international Mario Gotze stated his desire to remain at Bayern Munich.
World Cup winner Gotze had been strongly associated with a move to Anfield following his struggles to attain a regular first-team role during the previous campaign.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund ace has opted to stay put at the Bavarian giants, thereby recking the Reds' chances of landing his services.
The Guardian says the Europa League runners-up have switch their attention to Southampton forward Sadio Mane, who was in prime form for his side during the back end of last season.
The report adds that the Reds would have to fight it out with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur to secure the signature of the Senegalese international.
Mane ended the season as the Saints' top-scorer with 15 goals in all competitions.
