Arsenal bid for Julian Draxler
Arsenal have lodged a mega-offer for Wolfsburg attacker Julian Draxler, sources reveal. The German international is a long-term target for the North London outfit.
Draxler has impressed for his national side at ongoing European championships in France, and this has said to have reignited the Gunners' interest in his services.
ESPN reports that the Gunners have tabled a club-record £43m bid for the player with Arsene Wenger desperate to add more firepower to ease the burden on Olivier Giroud.
Draxler, who normally plys his trade on the left wing, is equally adept featuring in the lone role upfront.
The German was the subject of a transfer approach from the Gunners last summer before he opted join the Wolves on a five-year deal.
The 22-year-old is expected to be on the starting line-up when Germany take on hosts France in the Euro 2016 semi-finals later tonight.
