Chelsea set sights on Riyad Mahrez

Chelsea are set to step up their pursuit for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez. The Blues recently completed the signing of N'Golo Kante from the English champions.

Mahrez is believed to be assessing his future at the King Power Stadium after Kante opted to pursue a bigger challenge elsewhere.

The Express says Mahrez could be the next in line for the Blues with Antonio Conte looking to bolster the spine of his squad ahead of the next campaign.

The Algerian international has already signalled his intention to his representatives, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues could convince the Foxes to sell yet another of their top performers.

London rivals Arsenal have previously been credited with interest for the attacker, who has three years on his current contract.

Mahrez notched 17 goals and 11 assists for the Foxes during their historic Premier League triumph last season.
