Tottenham starlet Bentaleb to join Schalke 04

German side Schalke 04 have agreed a fee with Tottenham Hotspur for midfielder Nabil Bentaleb. According to reports, a price of around 7.5 million euros has been negotiated between both parties.

The 21-year-old, who spent his early career playing in France before moving to Spurs and becoming an important member of the first team, has been told he has no future at the club this season after the arrival of Victor Wanyama from Southampton. Manager Mauricio Pochettino told Wanyama that he was free to leave White Hart Lane.

The Algerian had an excellent campaign last year but has been deemed surplus to requirements this campaign and will sign a five year contract with Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
