Tottenham lodge bid for Moussa Sissoko
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made a late bid to land Newcastle United attacker Moussa Sissoko. The 27-year-old has been tipped to leave the Magpies all summer following his exploits for France at Euro 2016.
Sissoko, who has previously been with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool, is keen on parting ways with the Tyneside outfit after they dropped to the second tier of English football.
According to Sky Sports News, Spurs have lodged a £16m offer for the France international despite the Magpies holding out on a £30m sum for his services.
The midfielder is rumoured to be on his way to a new club on deadline day after he was given to leave the France squad to secure a transfer away from St.James Park.
Sissoko has appeared in over 130 games for Newcastle United following his switch from Toulouse in 2013. He has also earned 44 caps with his national side.
