Mesut Ozil wants to end his career in the MLS
Mesut Ozil has hinted that he would prefer a stint in the United States once he decides to leave Arsenal. The German international has two years left on his Gunners contract.
The 27-year-old is set to be offered a fresh deal at the Emirates as he sees spending the prime of his career with the North London giants.
While being questioned on his future plans, the World Cup winner revealed that the prospect of playing in Major League Soccer is something on his mind.
"In football, you can never say never," he told German outlet Express. "You don't know what will happen. I had a good time in Germany. That was a lot of fun.Eventually [MLS] could be an option. I have fun everywhere."
He added to state his admiration for Los Angeles, and a move to the City would be high on his list once he makes way from the Gunners.
Ozil has racked 22 goals and 42 assists for Arsenal since his club-record switch from Real Madrid three seasons ago.
