Barcelona eyeing Darmian deal?

Barcelona are weighing up a winter bid for Manchester United outcast Matteo Darmian. The Italy international has failed to make a league start for the Red Devils this term.

Darmian is on the fringes of the first-team at Old Trafford despite having joined from Torino just a year ago.

Spanish source Mundo Deportivo claims that Barca are considering a formal offer for the right-back with Aleix Vidal set to depart Camp Nou in the turn of the year.

The 26-year-old has been strongly tipped to join Inter Milan in recent weeks, but the Catalan giants will look to tempt the Italian to La Liga with the promise of a regular run in the starting line-up.

Darmian, who is capable of featuring across the defence, has appeared in 40 outings in all competitions for the Red Devils till date.

Manchester United are expected to demand fees of around £16m for Darmian's sale in the New Year.
