Liverpool plot swoop for Torino star

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is prepared to lodge a winter attempt to sign in-form Torino striker Andrea Belotti. Arsenal are also interested in the Italy international.

Italian source Calciomercato suggests that the Reds are weighing up a potential bid for the marksman having watched him on several occasions this term .

The 22-year-old has already amassed five goals in as many league outings this season, and looks to set to earn his move to a top European club in the New Year.

Klopp is willing to spend fees in excess of £20m on the forward as he seeks to ward off interest from the Gunners.

Belotti has earned three caps for his national side with his debut coming against France in a 3-1 friendly defeat last month.
