West Brom join Adrien Silva chase

West Bromwich Albion are the latest to be linked with a move for Sporting captain Adrien Silva.

The Portugal international was on the brink of joining Leicester City in the summer before the deal collapsed at the final hurdle.

Claudio Ranieri's side remain interested in the 27-year-old attacker, but will now face competition from West Bromwich Albion, who are prepared to do some spending in the New Year, A Bola claims.

The Baggies are under the control of a new Chinese consortium, and it is expected that they will provide a reasonable budget to spend on fresh recruits in January.

Adrien Silva, who graduated from the Sporting youth ranks, is believed to be eyeing a fresh challenge in his career. He was part of the Portugal side that lifted the Euro 2016 crown in France earlier this year.
