West Ham target Troy Deeney
West Ham United are reportedly lining up a winter move for Watford skipper Troy Deeney. The Hammers have failed to net goals on a regular basis this term.
Deeney, 28, was the subject of interest from Leicester City in the summer before he committed his future to the Hornets on a fresh five-year deal.
According to The Mirror, Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is desperate to bolster his striking options in January with loan recruits Simone Zaza and Jonathan Calleri yet to open their goalscoring accounts for the season.
Deeney is one player that is at the top of Bilic's shortlist, but it is highly unlikely that Watford would permit his sale, unless the player himself requests a move.
The Birmingham-born footballer has amassed 99 goals for Watford in all competitions since arriving from Walsall in the 2010-11 season.
