European champions Real Madrid will seek to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey once their transfer embargo is lifted.

The Wales international remains a key player at the Emirates despite suffering a series of injuries.

According to The Sun, Los Blancos will step up their interest in Ramsey, should they succeed in overturning their ongoing transfer ban.

The La Liga giants are currently serving a ban for two transfer windows after breaking rules protecting underage players, but they have appealed the decision with the Court of Arbitration of Sport.

Ramsey, 25, has been with the Gunners since the 2008-09 season, but injuries have restricted him from becoming one of the world's finest midfielders.

His transfer value has gone down over the years, and Real Madrid feel that a bid of around £25m would be sufficient to secure his signature in the future.
