Serie A ace to push for Chelsea transfer

Chelsea are prepared to lodge a winter move for in-form Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi. Blues boss Antonio Conte is a huge admirer of the Italy international.

The 22-year-old has been on Conte's radar since he was the manager of the Italian national side.

According to The Mirror, the Blues are bidding to bring the right-sided attacker to West London in the New Year with Conte prepared to bolster his squad further.

It is added that Bernardeschi is also in favour of a switch to the Premier League, and he will seek to push through a transfer away from Viola in the January transfer window.

Bernardeschi made his international debut under Conte earlier this year, and the two have since held a fruitful relationship off the pitch.

Apart from a forward, Conte is also on the search for a left-back and central midfielder to strengthen his side.
