West Ham favourites to sign Daniel Sturridge
West Ham United are reportedly frontrunners to pursue the services of Daniel Sturridge in the January transfer window. The England international has earned just four league starts for the Reds this season.
According to The Express, Sturridge is prepared to cut ties with Liverpool in January after failing to convince Jurgen Klopp of his abilities.
The 27-year-old was previously linked with a loan switch to Arsenal, but according to the latest report, it is West Ham United who could land his services in the New Year.
Sturridge has barely earned a regular run in the starting line-up this term, and this is something the Hammers could provide as they look to offload some of their fringe players at the start of 2017.
The former Chelsea man has been warming the substitutes' bench for much of the campaign with Klopp opting for the in-form trio of Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane in his frontline.
