Man City plot Oxlade-Chamberlain signing

Manchester City are prepared to lodge a winter move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain amid the uncertainty over his long-term future at Arsenal.

The England international has only 18 months left on his Gunners deal, and talks over an extension seem to have stalled.

According to The Sun, City boss Pep Guardiola is lining up a £25m for the winger, who has impressed in the Gunners shirt this season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has impressed with the limited playing time in hand this term, but with the club yet to commence over a possible extension, his future remains in doubt.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has suggested earlier in the month that the Ox remains a key player at the Emirates and is not sale in the near future.

The 23-year-old had a dismal outing against Manchester City over the weekend after he was taken off with a hamstring problem just 12 minutes into the pitch as a second-half substitute.
