Cahill nears Bolton switch

Bolton Wanderers have agreed a fee of around £5m with Aston Villa for Gary Cahill. Cahill has been the subject of a move away from the club all January and a move to Bolton is now destined to be on the cards.

An Aston Villa official declared: "There is nothing concrete decided but it wouldn't be a surprise if something happened in the next 24 hours or so."

Bolton have agreed a fee for Cahill, but they may still face competition for his signature as Birmingham City are said to still be interested in signing him.
