Crystal Palace have secured the signing of Leicester City ace Jeffrey Schlupp for a reported fee of £12m. The Ghana international was part of the Foxes' side that clinched a maiden and historic league title last season.
Eagles boss Sam Allardyce has been on the search for defensive recruits this month, and the arrival of Schlupp would provide the necessary boost on both sides of the pitch.
Schlupp was no more than a squad player at the King Power Stadium, but he will be offered the chance to express himself at Palace, where he will take up the left-back role.
Pape Souare is yet to recover from his car accident earlier in the season, and this will allow the Ghanaian to settle in South London after he failed to make his country's AFCON squad.
Schlupp has also had an influence as a left-sided winger over his career, and has netted 15 goals in all competitions.
