Everton quote their price for Lukaku

Premier League leaders Chelsea have been told to cough a club-record £70m sum if they are to re-sign Romelu Lukaku in the current transfer window.

The 23-year-old has been a huge success at Everton for whom he joined on an initial from Chelsea in the summer of 2013.

Over the past three-and-a-half seasons, the Belgian has managed to net 74 in 149 appearances - nearly a goal in every other game, and this has captured the attention of Antonio Conte.

The Blues are currently assessing the future of Diego Costa, and it is understood that Conte would be willing to offload him, should the club recruit a top-class striker.

Lukaku has been heavily linked with a return to Stamford Bridge since July 2016, but his £70m valuation remains a stumbling block for Chelsea, who are reluctant to spend big midway through the season.
