Danish international Peter Ankersen wanted by Leicester City

Leicester City coach Claudio Ranieri is considering a move for FC Copenhagen's right back Peter Ankersen. It is understood that Ranieri is looking to bolster his defensive options before the January transfer window closes.

The Esbjerg born 27-year-old has been impressive since his arrival at Copenhagen last year from Red Bull Salzburg and is reportedly desperate for a move to one of Europe's bigger leagues. The offer of a move to England could surely interest Andersen, who has 3 and a half years remaining on his contract back in his homeland.

Ankersen recently scored his first goal for Denmark's national team in the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan and has reportedly been told he can leave Copenhagen for a fee of around 8.5 million GBP.
