Adebayor: City were tough

After grabbing a sensational brace against Man City at Eastlands to give the home side their first taste of home defeat, Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor found time to admit that Man City were a stern test.

"We knew the game was going to be tough and difficult and you could see that," Adebayor quipped.

"We are pleased with the performance. They played quite well and have a lot of talented players.

"When we scored the second goal you thought the game was finished but they made it difficult. But we responded very well.

"The most important thing is we have won and we are very happy with that."
