Nani wants to stay at Valencia

Valencia winger Nani has revealed his desire to remain at his current club despite the ongoing speculation over his future.

The Portugal international made the switch to Valencia from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2016 after a standout year which saw him the lift the Euro 2016 title.

However, he has since struggled to replicate a similar showing at the Mestalla, and this has urged the club's officials to ponder over his exit ahead of this summer's transfer window.

Nani, who spent eight glorious years at Manchester United, has now insisted that he is content with this stay at Los Che, and he will honour the remainder of his contract.

"My idea is to stay here. I want to continue, I have a contract with Valencia," he told Radio Marca. "I knew when I came here that I was joining a big club, and I still believe that to be the case."

Nani has netted just four goals in 20 outings for Valencia in what has been an injury-hit campaign for the former Sporting graduate.
