Huddersfield Town eye permanent deal for Chelsea winger
Championship club Huddersfield Town are eager to wrap up a permanent move for Chelsea's Izzy Brown at the end of the campaign, The Mirror claims.
The 20-year-old linked up with the Terriers on loan last winter, and he has since contributed five goals in 15 outings.
Despite being in the top three positions for much of the season, David Wagner's side slipped to fifth place in the standings following a dismal run of form.
The Terriers held Sheffield Wednesday to a 0-0 draw in the first-leg of the semi-final playoff, and they will now travel to Hillsborough tomorrow with a view to clinching a positive result.
According to The Mirror, the Premier League holders are willing to sell Brown to Huddersfield for a £3m sum, but the player could still snub their advances, should they fail to win Premier League promotion.
Brown, who has previously captained the Chelsea under-19 side, had spent the first half of the season with Rotherham United for whom he notched three goals in 20 appearances.
