Nolito off to Real Betis?

Manchester City forward Nolito is reportedly considering a switch to Real Betis ahead of this summer's transfer window.

The Spain international has struggled for regular playing time under Pep Guardiola this season and has made just nine league starts to date.

Overall, the 30-year-old has made 19 top-flight appearances this term, netting four goals and assisting a further two in the process.

According to The Mail, City and Betis have held negotiations over the proposed transfer which could cost just £3.4m in the summer.

Nolito arrived from Spanish club Celta Vigo for over £10m last summer, and the Citizens will take a substantial loss on the player, who has simply failed to match his credentials.

The former Barcelona graduate currently earns a salary package of around £100,000-a-week, and this could prove to be a stumbling block in his potential return to his home nation.

Nolito has not started a league game since February, and he may have to contend with a similar stint in the run-in with Guardiola unlikely to make unnecessary changes.
