Man Utd, Liverpool to compete for Monaco anchorman
Manchester United and Liverpool have reportedly joined Chelsea in the pursuit of highly-rated Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The 22-year-old has been one of the many standout performers for the Principality outfit, who managed to end Paris Saint-Germain's four-year dominance in Ligue 1.
Leonardo Jardim's side are currently holding out for a £40m sum for the midfielder, who earned his maiden France cap earlier in the year - after having previously warded off interest from Les Parisiens for his services.
According to The Mail, both the Red Devils and the Reds are plotting moves for the midfield anchorman after having scouted him on multiple occasions during the campaign.
It is added that the Premier League pair are willing to match Monaco's valuation for the enforcer as they seek to bolster their respective positions at the centre of the park.
Bakayoko has appeared in 50 outings for the Ligue 1 holders this season while contributing three goals and an assist in the process.
