Iker Casillas may be set for a move to the English Premier League

Iker Casillas has won it all during his illustrious career and could now be set to move to the English Premier League. The Spanish goalkeeper has failed to win a major trophy during his two seasons in Portugal with Porto, and may now move to England in an attempt to end his career with one last piece of silverware.

Casillas has interested clubs in Turkey, Qatar and China, but AS reports that the most appealing team interested in his services is Liverpool. The Anfield club have struggled to find a consistent goalkeeper in recent years and Jurgen Klopp is now searching for a number one who he can rely on in both European and domestic competitions.

The former Spain first choice goalkeeper would certainly bring experience, winning the Champions League three times and making 175 appearances in the competition.

At thirty six years of age, Casillas is certainly approaching the end of his career, but he would be a great signing for Jurgen Klopp, particularly with the rising price of younger goalkeepers in the current market.

Klopp will be keen to get a deal completed as soon as possible before other clubs can declare their interest. The Express even suggests that a pre-contract agreement has already been signed, which will see Casillas move to Anfield when his current contract expires in the summer.
