Arsenal rival Spurs for Monaco winger

Arsenal are set to go head to head with Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign AS Monaco frontman Thomas Lemar.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had been offered the winger on a cut-price deal while at former club Caen, but he opted to pass on the advances.
French publication L'Equipe suggests that the Gunners could be in the running to sign the highly-rated attacker this summer with the 21-year-old keen in plying his trade in the Premier League.
The north London club may not have qualified for next season's Champions League, but they still seem to hold an advantage with the player said to be a huge admirer of Wenger.
Lemar is prepared to link up with the FA Cup holders irrespective of the European competition they participate in as his arrival could strengthen the club's chances of ending their Premier League drought.
Italian giants Juventus are also keeping tabs on the left-sided winger, who is likely to valued at around £26m, as per a previous report from L'Equipe.
Lemar contributed nine goals and 10 assists for the Principality outfit, who ended their 17-year wait for the French Ligue 1 title this year.
