Juventus an option for Riyad Mahrez
Serie A holders Juventus have emerged as surprise contenders to pursue the signature of wantaway Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez this summer.
The Algeria international has openly admitted his ambition to leave the King Power Stadium with Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea credited with an interest in his signature.
In spite of this, the 26-year-old could be forced to remain with the east Midlands club, should neither of his suitors be willing to match his £50m price tag.
According to The Mirror, the Italian champions could plot a transfer attempt for the African Player of the Year, if they fail to agree on a deal for Bayern Munich outcast Douglas Costa.
It is added that the departure of Mahrez could benefit the progress of Demaria Gray, who has been put off Tottenham's radar due to his £22m release clause.
The Foxes are said to rate the England under-21 international highly, and they are prepared to offer him an extended run in the lineup next season.
Mahrez struggled to make a huge impact for Leicester City last term as they finished a lowly 12th in the Premier League - a far cry from the 2015/16 season's league triumph.
