Liverpool after Porto hotshot
Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a move for Porto midfielder Ruben Neves as they look to shore up their midfield ahead of the 2017/18 season.
The Reds struggled to find the right combination at the heart of the midfield last season with Emre Can and Jordan Henderson occasionally struggling to live up to their hype.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United have previously been associated with the two-time Portugal international, and according to A Bola, the Reds could be leading the pursuit of the £30m-rated midfielder.
Neves, who has been with the Dragons since the age of eight, is understood to be assessing his options for next season after having underlined his intention to leave the club in a year's time last summer.
The 20-year-old became the youngest ever captain in the Champions League when he took the field as an 18-year-old in a group stage tie against Maccabi Tel Aviv in October 2015.
Porto have already lost a key graduate in Andre Silva to AC Milan, and Neves could be the next in line to leave the club following their failure to end Benfica's recent dominance in the Primeira Liga.
