Swansea City eyeing Adebayor deal
Swansea City are reportedly prepared to bring former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor back to the Premier League this summer.
The Togo international is being eyed as a potential replacement for Batefimbi Gomis, who could be headed to Istanbul Basaksehur as part of the agreement.
Gomis notched 21 goals on loan with Marseille last term, but he has decided against making his move permanent due to the wages on offer.
As a result, Basaksehur have emerged as the new contenders with Adebayor likely to be offered a route back to the Premier League.
Adebayor netted seven goals for the Turkish club, who surprised many by finishing in the runner-up position to eventual champions Besiktas.
Despite his success, he is eager to ply his trade in England once again following a largely unsuccessful stint with Crystal Palace, which he terms as the worst of his career.
The 33-year-old, who is currently contracted to Basaksehir until 2018, bagged a brilliant hat-trick in the 4-0 thrashing of Galatasaray earlier last season.
