Dusan Vlahovic to join Fiorentina

Fiorentina has signed teenage striker Dusan Vlahovic from Serbian club Partizan Belgrade for a fee in the region of around 12 million euros. The forward put pen to paper on a five-year contract for the Viola.

Partizan had been hoping to tie the young striker down to a brand new contract; but as soon as interest from Europe was known to the player, he decided to seek a move elsewhere.

Vlahovic has been linked with a host of top clubs from all over Europe, but Fiorentina have won the race to sign the talented striker. AC Milan and Villarreal were amongst the teams reportedly monitoring Vlahovic's progress. The striker indicated early on that he would prefer a move to Florence.

Vlahovic has appeared for Serbia's under-19 team 8 times and has been a regular at Partizan Belgrade since making his debut in 2016. In addition, the 6 foot 3 striker is expected to be an important member of Fiorentina's squad for the upcoming Serie A campaign.
