Sunderland want Sidwell

Sunderland are lining up a bid for Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell. The Black Cats are considering a £7 million offer for the midfielder. Sidwell is unhappy at Chelsea with the lack of first-team opportunities.

The midfielder is not getting a look-in at Chelsea after joining the Blues from Reading on a free transfer in the summer and Black Cats boss Roy Keane is ready to offer him a way out.



Sidwell was expected to start for Chelsea against Valencia on Tuesday night, but he did not even make it off the bench during the goalless draw and could now be looking for a new side.
