Manchester United to sign Alexis Sanchez?
Manchester United could reportedly lodge an attempt to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez at the end of the campaign.
The 28-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at the Emirates, but he has yet to extend his £130,000-a-week deal.
Sanchez had been keen on a switch to Manchester City prior to this summer's transfer deadline, but the Gunners could not find a suitable replacement to sanction the Chilean's exit.
According to The Sun, Manchester United could hijack City's move for Sanchez next summer, should they pay up a £25m signing-on fee. Sanchez will be free to speak to foreign clubs in the winter transfer window, but the Red Devils could still verbally reach an agreement with his representative.
The Chile international notched his first Arsenal goal of the season in the 3-1 Europa League triumph over Koln last week, and he is expected to play a part in the League Cup game against Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday night.
