Chelsea to open contract talks with Charly Musonda

Premier League holders Chelsea are reportedly keen on negotiating terms over a fresh contract with Charly Musonda. The Belgian footballer has made three appearances in the senior Blues squad this term.
Musonda, 20, is currently contracted to Chelsea until the summer of 2020, but the Blues want to press ahead with the option of extending his contract.
According to Evening Standard, Antonio Conte is eager to prolong the stay of Musonda after breaking into the first-team squad earlier in the campaign.
The attacker recently scored his maiden Blues goal in the 5-1 League Cup win over Nottingham Forest, and Conte wants him committed to a long-term deal amid the previous interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.
Musonda has been with the west London giants since the age of 15, and has previously spent multiple loan spells away at Spanish club Real Betis. He has already represented Belgium at all youth levels, and it could be a matter of time before he earns a call up to Roberto Martinez's squad.
